Directions
This cute pattern and smocking design fit
a small 7” baby doll, available at Kmart, Toys’R’Us, Walmart, Target, and other
stores. It’s an easy, quick project sure to bring a smile to a little girl’s
face. Make one to match the dresses you make!
1. Cut pattern pieces as follows: (LxW)
Front 8” x 10”
Backs 8” x 5”
Sleeves 4” x 5”
Neck Bias 4¾ x 1¼
2. Mark armhole curves on front and backs.
3. Pleat 6 rows on the front piece plus the half-space rows above and below the
6 rows.
4. Smock according to graph.
5 Sew sleeves to front and back.
6. Finish back edge and sleeve edges. Zigzag 2” of 1/8” elastic one half inch
from sleeve edge.
7 Gather neck edge and attach neck bias (finished neck size 4¼).
8. Sew underarm seams.
9. Hem.
